Use Case
Port machinery tracking with RTK, IoT and lightweight Digital Twin
RTK and IoT tracking :
The machines are equipped with IoT sensors and RTK systems for the cranes, enabling tracking with centimeter-level accuracy. These data are integrated in real time into a lightweight digital twin, capable of modeling the entire port.Light and precise Digital Twin:
The lightweight digital twin synchronizes RTK/IoT data in real time to visualize port assets and their movements in an immersive interface. This helps prevent collisions and optimize trajectories.MarineTraffic integration :
Using the MarineTraffic API, the positions of docked and approaching ships are integrated into the digital twin, enabling efficient coordination of port machinery movements with marine operations.
Interface immersive :
The digital twin provides real-time visualization of machines and vessels, facilitating the management of logistics flows and interventions, while improving safety and efficiency.
Belt conveyor maintenance with RTK, IoT and light Digital Twin
Precise roller positioning with RTK and IoT:
Each roller on the belt conveyor is geolocated to an accuracy of 5 cm thanks to IoT sensors and the RTK system. This enables maintenance teams to precisely locate rollers to be replaced during inspection visits. The data is integrated into a lightweight digital twin, which reflects the condition and exact position of the rollers.RTK tablet for rapid intervention :
Maintenance teams use an RTK tablet connected to the digital twin. They can click directly on the rollers marked for replacement in the immersive interface. This enables them to visualize in real time the areas in need of intervention, and to trigger corrective action immediately.Overflow management with LiDAR :
A LiDAR system continuously monitors the conveyor belt for potential overflows. The point cloud data generated is integrated with the digital twin, enabling rapid intervention if a problem is detected.
Stock updates with LiDAR RTK on mobile machines and lightweight Digital Twin
RTK LiDAR-equipped vehicles :
Mobile machines (loaders, excavators, etc.) are equipped with LiDAR RTK sensors that measure the volume of stock handled or moved in real time. Instead of sending the entire point cloud, LiDAR verifies volumes locally by directly comparing the data with the lightweight digital twin.Comparison with the lightweight Digital Twin :
The lightweight digital twin stores a precise model of expected volumes. Each time the machine takes a new measurement, it compares the collected data (material volumes) locally with the model in the digital twin. If a difference is detected, only volume updates are transmitted, reducing the amount of data to be sent.Efficient inventory updating :
Once the comparison has been made, the digital twin is updated quickly and frugally, without having to process or transmit a complete point cloud. This simplifies inventory management, enables real-time updating, and optimizes network and computing resources.Simplified and efficient operations:
This approach enables automated, lean and precise inventory management, while minimizing the consumption of IT and network resources. Teams can track stock movements directly via the digital twin, with fast, accurate updates.
